A brief description.

In Taverna, Catanzaro, the church of Saint Dominic; there is the painting of Saint John the Baptist by Mattia Preti, born on 24 February 1613 in Taverna. In this painting Preti depicted himself underneath at the right. He died on 3 January 1699 in Malta.
