A brief description.

In the historical centre of Plasencia (Cáceres), on the Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, is situated the Dominican priory, dedicated to Vincent Ferrer.

The priory is founded by the duke of Plasencia, Alvaro de Zúñiaga and his wife Leonor de Pimenel, ca. the middle of the 15th century and houses the Dominicans till 1970. In the priory the chapter-room and the refectory are decorated with Talavera tiles. The entrance is on a open square with an arcade and the granite escalera al aire, decorated with coats of arms and small statues of Saints.

The building is nowadays a parador, a hotel.
